As I prepare for this upcoming conference and think back over the last twenty-five years, I'm most proud of the ECIR Group track record. Our vision isn't clouded. We don't have an agenda. We can afford to look at the facts as the facts. We don't have to try to put a spin on them.  

The ECIR Group has put in place a method of operating that will serve it indefinitely. We have a proven blueprint for evaluating horses. What we do, what exact tests are done, and the meaning of those tests can change, but the blueprint for interpreting and understanding is right there. The blueprint will work no matter what comes in from the research.

The NO Laminitis! Conference is our largest fundraiser to help us continue our mission to improve the welfare of metabolic equines. Thank-you to those who have already registered. Thank-you to the many supporters who have shared why they feel so strongly about attending the conference and making use of excellent information which will be gained there.

Celebrating 25 years, the ECIR Group is the largest field-trial database for PPID and EMS in the world and provides the latest research, diagnosis, and treatment information, in addition to dietary recommendations for horses with these conditions. THE MISSION of the ECIR Group Inc. is to improve the welfare of equines with metabolic disorders via a unique interface between basic research and real-life clinical experience. Prevention of laminitis is the ultimate goal. The ECIR Group serves the scientific community, practicing clinicians, and owners by focusing on investigations most likely to quickly, immediately, and significantly benefit the welfare of the horse.
